April 2018: SGA Design Group Announces New Hires, Promotions

SGA Design Group announces new hires, promotions:

Tulsa, Okla. – SGA Design Group, a leading national architecture firm, is pleased to announce seven leadership promotions and four new hires.


Chuck Dodson has been named an Associate. Chuck graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Gregory’s University with a degree in Business Administration. He has more than 30 years of software training experience, including teaching classes for Platt College and Tulsa Technology Center. Since joining SGA in 2007, he has worked as an applications developer, software trainer, IT specialist, and client consultant, with a focus on improving throughput in architectural process using technology. Chuck is an Autodesk Registered Developer and won the Autodesk Instructional Quality Award in 1997 while working for Star Training Institute, an Autodesk and Microsoft Training Center.

David Haraway, AIA, LEED® AP BD +C, RRO has been named an Associate. David received his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from the University of Oklahoma in 1991. Prior to joining SGA, he gained experience in various building types, including retail, government, religious, residential and healthcare. Since joining SGA in 2006, he has worked for various retail clients, with involvement in quality control, construction observation/administration, cost estimating, municipal entitlement and permitting, and construction documents. David is a licensed architect in Oklahoma, a LEED Accredited Professional, a Registered Roof Observer (RRO) and a certified ICC Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner.

Shekoofah Khedhri, AIA, LEED® AP BD+C, NCARB  has been named an Associate. Since she joined SGA in 2011, she has applied her skills as a project manager with numerous clients, including Kohl’s, Walmart and ALDI.  Her previous experience in Dubai includes work with Nakheel and The Dubai Economic Department. Shekoofah obtained a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from UAE University, a Masters of City and Regional Planning with Community and Economic Development Concentration from The University of Pennsylvania and Graphic Design, Fine Art Studies from The University of Pennsylvania.

Meenakshi Krishnasamy, AIA, RRO has been named an Associate. Meenakshi received his Bachelor of Architecture from India and Master of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. He has worked on numerous retail clients including Walmart, PetSmart, and Wawa Convenience Stores. Meenakshi also worked as a senior project architect for Liberty Baptist Mega Church in Hampton, VA. Since joining SGA in 2010, he has worked for various retail and restaurant clients. He is also a Registered Roofing Observer (RRO).

Ryan Mullins, AIA, LEED® AP BD+C, NCARB has been named an Associate. Ryan was first hired by SGA in 2006 and spent 8 years working with numerous clients including Walmart, Kohl’s, and Dickey’s. He rejoined SGA in 2017 as a project architect supporting our Best Buy and ALDI work. Ryan has extensive experience in design and construction administration for many large and medium scale retail projects throughout the U.S. with scopes ranging from new, remodel, takeover and expansion. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma.

Kayo Takumyo, AIA, CSI, CDT, LEED® AP BD+C has been named an Associate. Kayo received her Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University. She is a licensed architect in Tennessee. Before joining SGA, she mainly worked on corporate, healthcare, industrial, and high-end residential architecture. Her focus in recent years has included client relations, efficiency in project management, construction administration, and specifications.

Sherry Volberding, PHR, SHRM-CP has been named an Associate. Sherry received an MBA from Oklahoma State University in 2009 and joined SGA’s team in 2011. She is a member of our HR team and has over 15 years of experience in the profession. Her previous and existing roles have given her exposure to recruiting, benefits administration, employee engagement, compensation analysis and compliance/risk management. She is a certified HR Professional with both The HR Certification Institute and The Society for Human Resource Management.

Cindy Littrell has joined SGA. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Architecture. She is passionate about the field of architecture, and she also enjoys exploring other related activities such as interior and graphic design. She believes in preserving traditional culture and building new communities through contemporary design. Aside from design, she enjoys music, fine arts, sports and outdoor activities.

Kristine Pagano, AIA, LEED® AP joined SGA in February 2018. Kristine received her B.S. of Architecture from The University of Michigan in 2003 and her Master of Architecture from Rice University in 2006. In her 10+ years in architecture, she has had experience with various retail, restaurant, and mixed-use clients – leading national programs including Corner Bakery Café and Massage Envy. Kristine is a licensed architect in Oklahoma, a member of the American Institute of Architects, a LEED Accredited Professional, and an ICC Certified Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner.

Gary Talley, AIA has joined SGA as a Sr. Project Architect. Gary received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1986. His 32+ years in the architecture profession have provided him experience with a wide array of projects including warehouse, municipal, high-rise office, corporate headquarters, healthcare, senior living, and retail facilities. Prior to joining SGA, Gary was employed by Walmart Stores, Inc. in Bentonville, AR. During his 20 year tenure at Walmart, he held the positions of Construction Manager, Site Adapt Architectural Manager and Senior Architect of Prototype Design, Development and Quality Assurance. Prior to his career at Walmart, Gary was employed by BSW International in Tulsa, OK and HKS Inc. in Dallas, TX. Gary is a licensed architect in Texas and a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Kenny Tapp has joined SGA as a project manager. He has 15+ years of combined experience in the field of construction management and as an architectural draftsman. Specifically, Kenny has 8+ years in drafting working for retail clients such as Walmart, Starbucks, Dollar General, custom metal buildings and McDonalds. He has studied engineering and construction management.
