Tulsa, Okla. – SGA Design Group, a top national architecture firm, is pleased to announce one leadership promotion and thirteen new hires.
Russ Owens, Assoc. AIA has been named an Associate. Russ supports SGA in the role of Senior Project Manager. Russ has almost 35 years of experience in the construction industry and spent almost two decades of it working as a Construction Manager and Project/Prototype Manager with a leading national retailer.
Stephen Bowen, Assoc. AIA joined SGA in August of 2019. Stephen received his Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Oklahoma in 2011. During his 8+ years in the field of architecture, he has gained experience with various healthcare, retail, restaurant, and mixed-use clients.
Lisa Cowan re-joined SGA in March of 2019. She originally started working at SGA in 2014 and returned after living in Georgia with her family for a year. She is an administrator in the operations department helping projects get out the door and ensures quality standards are reached. She attended the School of Fine Arts at The University of Oklahoma.
Tori Hilger, Assoc. IIDA joined SGA in May of 2019. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences from Oklahoma State University and joined SGA upon graduation. Her prior experience includes research on the Dementia Friendly City Center project, an ASID Transform Grant project, and work with higher education, healthcare, and commercial design projects during her internship in 2018, and residential design during her internship in 2014.
Kelsey Hisaw, Assoc. IIDA joined SGA in July of 2019. She received her Bachelor of Design, Housing, and Merchandising with an option of Interior Design from Oklahoma State University in May of 2019. She is working towards her registration.
Cierra Huffman, Assoc. IIDA joined SGA in September of 2019. She received her Associate in Applied Science of Interior Design from Tulsa Community College in 2018. She previously worked for a local design-build firm focused on healthcare projects.
Misti Janes joined the accounting team at SGA in May of 2019. She attended the University of Tulsa, majoring in MIS and minoring in accounting. Her professional career has been focused in program administration and accounting.
Crayton Long, Assoc. AIA joined SGA in April of 2019. He received his Associates in Applied Science Engineering Technologies – Engineering Graphics Technology from Oklahoma State University in 2002. His 21 years of experience have afforded him broad experience with many industries and building types, including extensive practice with corporate/commercial, education, government, industrial, medical/healthcare, religious/non-profit, restaurant/entertainment, retail, and sports. Crayton brings this knowledge base to bear with advanced BIM and training experiences.
Stephanie Lunsford, Allied Member ASID joined SGA in March of 2019. She received her Bachelor of Interior Design from the Fay Jones School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas, where she also minored in History. Before joining the SGA team in March of 2019, she focused on residential design for over 4 years. Stephanie designed custom lake homes in Northern Minnesota, where she developed a better understanding of the construction process, client relations and the importance of coordination between disciplines. Stephanie is a member of ASID and will be pursuing her NCIDQ Certification.
Kabita Maskey, Assoc. AIA joined SGA in October of 2019. She obtained her Bachelor of Architecture from the Institute of Engineering in Kathmandu, Nepal and an MSC in Urban Management and Development from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Kabita is a licensed architect in Nepal. Kabita’s previous work experience includes government office design, banks, residential, restaurant, and retail.
Alan Pittman, Assoc. AIA joined SGA in June of 2019. He graduated in May of 2019 and received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Mississippi State University. A month after graduating, he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma from Jackson, Mississippi to join SGA Design Group. Alan is currently working toward his goal of becoming a licensed architect.
Ericka Roomsburg, Assoc. IIDA joined SGA in January of 2020. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in DHM: Interior Design. She is currently working toward registration.
Phil Sallee joined SGA in October of 2019. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University in January of 1973. He joined SGA in late October of 2019. With 47 years of experience, Phil has been exposed to most all aspects of building construction and the various related disciplines while working with many respected firms. He has extensive experience with educational facilities, churches, high-end residential, municipal, and hospitality clients. Phil’s most extensive experience has been consulting with corporate clients regarding prototype development and maintenance, including the incorporation of on-going change. Phil is licensed in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Alex Sims, AIA joined SGA in March of 2019. He’s a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology and brings to SGA over 30 years of experience in a broad range of commercial markets including hospitality, healthcare, industrial, public works, corporate office planning, and retail. Alex has also worked in a variety of project delivery methods such as public design-bid-build and design/build. Since moving to Northwest Arkansas in 2006, he has contributed to the development, implementation, and quality control of store standards for Walmart, 7-Eleven and McDonald’s.
