September 2017: SGA Design Group Announces New Shareholders, New Hires

SGA Design Group announces new shareholders, hires:

Tulsa, Okla. – SGA Design Group, a leading national architecture firm, is pleased to announce the addition of two new shareholders and eleven new hires. With these additions, SGA now has 10 principals leading the 90 person firm.

Virginia Hart, AIA, NCARB, LEED® AP has been promoted from Sr. Associate to Principal. She is a licensed architect and has over 18 years of experience working with national building program clients such as Walmart, Kohl’s, and Lowes. She brings efficiency to every project with her extensive knowledge in Revit, contracts, project management, and construction administration. Virginia uses this broad perspective to keep clients apprised of the building progress, helping them understand the process so they can become more efficient. She also enjoys sharing her experience with her team members through seminars and learning programs. Virginia graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1994 and joined SGA in 1998. She is a LEED Accredited Professional as well as an AIA member.

Ariane Tattershall, AIA, NCARB has been promoted from Sr. Associate to Principal. She joined SGA in 2002 after graduating from the University of Illinois, Chicago with a Master of Architecture for Landscape Urbanism. Ariane has 15+ years of experience working with numerous clients, including Walmart, Lowe’s, and Hanger Clinic. One of Ariane’s top priorities in working with clients is responsiveness – in terms of providing timely and accurate information as well as meeting deadlines and budgets. She takes pride in creating an exciting, supportive environment for her team, so that everyone has the tools they need to give their very best. Ariane graduated from the University of Kansas in 1996 with a Bachelor of Architecture. She is a licensed architect and a member of the AIA.

Elizabeth Gerhard, Assoc. AIA comes to SGA after having recently graduated from Oklahoma State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a Minor in Marketing.

Devard Hanna, Assoc. AIA joins SGA as a Senior Project Manager. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge, experience and diversity with 3 years of experience in residential and corporate offices and nearly 5 years of experience in healthcare. Devard is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Architecture with a Minor in Architectural History.

Christy Hendrick, Allied Member ASID joins SGA with prior experience in hospitality and institutional design. She was involved in the renovation of the historic US Grant hotel in San Diego, CA. Christy has previously worked in marketing and has had her own photography studio for the past 8 years. She obtained a BFA in Interior Design from the Design Institute of San Diego as well as a BA in Graphic Design from Point Loma Nazarene University.

Gina Kelly has joined SGA as a Project Manager supporting the firm’s entitlement activities. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management/Engineering from Pittsburg State University. She has a background in inspections with highways, commercial & residential projects and is skilled in gas pipeline GIS survey data processes. Her experience in working with city, county and state jurisdictions adds to the strength of SGA’s entitlement group.

Whitney Marshall joins SGA as a Team Administrator. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated from Tulsa Community College with an Associate of Arts in Psychology. She has over 10 years of administrative experience in a variety of industries, including: construction management, sales & marketing in pharmacy software, healthcare, and journalism. Her versatile background has been an invaluable road map to her destination with SGA Design Group.

Ryan Mullins, AIA, NCARB, LEED® AP BD+C was first hired by SGA in 2006 and spent 8 years working with numerous clients including Walmart, Kohl’s, and Dickey’s. He rejoined SGA this year as a Project Architect supporting our Best Buy and ALDI work. Ryan has extensive experience in design and construction administration for many large and medium scale retail projects throughout the U.S. with scopes ranging from new, remodel, takeover and expansion. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma.

Trina Myers joins SGA as an Operations Coordinator after having previously worked for another local architecture firm. She attended Tulsa Community College and Northeastern State University and has an Associate of Arts degree.

Austin Richards, Assoc. AIA comes to SGA from San Diego, California. Austin is a graduate of NewSchool of Architecture & Design, where he obtained a Bachelor of Architecture. His prior experience includes prison work, light residential, and commercial projects for retail such as Guitar Center, Robbins Brothers, and Salon Republic.

Camille Sanders, Assoc. IIDA joins SGA as an Intern Project Designer. She previously worked for a residential architecture firm in Tulsa. Camille obtained a Bachelor of Interior Design with a Minor in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma.

Leah Trask, Assoc. AIA has joined SGA as a Project Manager supporting the prototype team in Bentonville. Her experience in architecture includes managing small scale convenience store projects as well as large scale retail projects. Leah graduated from Drury University where she obtained a Bachelor of Architecture, with an Associates in Art History, Photography and Global Studies.

Kristie Ward joins SGA as a Revit/CAD technician. She has certifications in Revit, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. Kristie also achieved 1st place in the Architectural Drafting Skills USA State Competition.
