In June of 2019, SGA was hired to develop a one of a kind convenience store, fueling station and car wash for the Muckleshoot tribe in Auburn, Washington. Our work included the design, construction documentation and permitting of a ground-up 15,000 sf store that fit into the context of the Pacific Northwest as well as the adjacent hotel and casino. The exterior incorporated a modern design with durable materials to emulate the historic wood construction of the region. The interior design was planned for convenience and a high volume of traffic.
The overall project was organized with a phased construction process in mind. The site was designed so that the existing convenience store and fueling stations could remain in operation until construction of the new facilities was completed.
