January 2021: SGA Design Group announces new hires, promotions

Tulsa, Okla. – SGA Design Group, a top national architecture firm, is pleased to announce one leadership promotion and seven new hires.

Hal Staples, AIA, NCARB, LEED® AP BD+C has been named a Shareholder and Principal. Hal joined SGA Design Group in 2003 after graduating from the University of Oklahoma. He has over 15 years of experience working with numerous clients including Walmart, Kohl’s, Casey’s, and Best Buy. He currently leads SGA’s team responsible for ALDI projects. Hal is dedicated to understanding our clients & their priorities and building trust for a long-term relationship. He is a licensed architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is a LEED® Accredited Professional.

Tyler Dallison, AIA, NCARB joined SGA in July of 2020. Tyler graduated from the University of Colorado Denver in December of 2015 with a Master of Architecture degree. After a two-year internship with another firm, he moved to Bentonville, Arkansas. Tyler is a licensed architect in Colorado and Arkansas.

Elizabeth Frisbie joined SGA in April of 2020. She has prior experience in payroll and taxes while working for the Cherokee Nation. Elizabeth received a Bachelor of Science in Management from Oklahoma State University in 2019.

Dipayan Ghosh, Assoc. AIA joined SGA in July of 2020. Dipayan joined SGA Design Group in 2020 after graduating from Illinois State University’s School of Architecture. Prior to moving to the U.S., Dipayan was working in New Delhi and has worked on retail, multi-family residential and healthcare projects. Dipayan is currently pursuing licensure.

Nina Herndon joined SGA in November of 2020. Nina graduated from Oklahoma State University in May of 2016 with a double major in agricultural economics and accounting. Before joining SGA, Nina accumulated diverse accounting experience in other fields, including rural internet and the oil industry.

James Parker, AIA, NCARB, LEED® AP BD+C joined SGA in August of 2020. James graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2006 and is currently licensed to practice architecture in Oklahoma and Colorado. James has broad experience designing and managing large and small projects for healthcare, higher education, K-12, commercial, hospitality, and spiritual clients, many with a focus on sustainability.

Cameron Tessier joined SGA in December of 2020. He obtained an Associate in Science in Architectural Engineering Technology from New Hampshire Technical Institute, and has prior drafting experience in both the millwork and glass industries.

Laura Thurman joined SGA in September of 2020. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations from The University of Oklahoma in 2013 and her Master of Science in Energy Management from Oklahoma City University in 2018. She is applying her experience as a Paralegal in the oil and gas industry to her current role as a Contracts Administrator, while also supporting SGA’s business development & marketing efforts.
